TINY HOME BUILDER FAQ

We are looking to fulfill our Tiny Home Builder position for a February 1, 2018 start date at our Vancouver, WA location. We are hiring (1-3) Tiny Home Builder(s) for (2) month contracts. This position has an opportunity to transition into a full time position salaried with full beneftis after the contract has ended, pending review. Builders work 40 hours/week from 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday-Friday. Builder must have reliable transportation to work. Payment is hourly for the (2) month contract and hourly rate is ($17-$20 DOE). As our Tiny Home Builder, we need you to feel confident around power, hand, and pneumatic tools. We're looking for people with a background in construction, finshing work, engineering, design, carpentry, sustainable infrastructure, or something similar. Don't have that experience? More importantly we want our Builders to be able to communicate effectively with our senior staff and bring a positive and professional attitude to work. Our Tiny Home Builders are the backbone of our company. They are responsible for performing our basic construction tasks from framing to window installation to more. Our Tiny Home Builders report directly to our Senior and Principal Builders as they prep shells and finish turnkey tiny homes. TINY HOME BUILDER

INVENTORY & SHOP ASST. FAQ

We are looking to fulfill our Inventory & Shop Assistant position for a February 15, 2018 start date at our Vancouver, WA location. We are hiring (1) part time Inventory & Shop Assistant. This position works 24 hours/week from 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a 1 hour lunch. Applicant must have reliable transportation to work. Hourly rate is $15/hr. As our Inventory & Shop Assistant, we need you to have excellent knowledge of G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Maps, Chrome, Hangouts) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). While not fully necessary, knowledge of Google Sketchup, Buildertrend, and Wunderlist are benefical.

As the Inventory & Shop Assistant, you should have knowledge of building material types, tools, and construction terms. Position will require you to source and pick up large purchase orders and having basic knowledge of building materials will aid in confirming correct orders. 

We need you to be able to lift 75-lbs on a regular basis as you organize material around the shop upon sourcing or delivery. As our Inventory & Shop Assistant you will need to have your valid driver's license as you will be driving the company vehicle to source large orders such as units of lumber and 30-ft trailers.

We need you to have excellent communication skills as you will be working in a quick paced environment as you report to Principal and Senior Builders. 

Our Inventory & Shop Assistant is the person that keeps our Builders and builds on schedule. They are responsible for
ordering and sourcing build materials from lumber to trailers and everything in between. This position maintains basic hardware inventory, completes in-take for deliveries, ensures offices and shop floor are well maintained, and is the face of the company for walk-in clients. For a layout of a full list of Inventory & Shop Assistant responsibilities, see below.
